Farms and Hunter Boots

Happy November Y’all! It doesn’t feel like November here in Atlanta, pretty sure it hit the mid 80’s today, but the upcoming weekend looks like it will be much cooler. I invited one of Arnel’s old college buddies over for dinner tonight because the older I get the more I realize that I absolutely LOVEEEE cooking for people (Arnel says he isn’t complaining) I actually can’t wait for Thanksgiving because my family is coming down to visit and I will be throwing down a feast. YAYY!

Now let me update you guys with my Sunday, a part of me hopes you all get a kick out of this one. So long story short, I invited Arnel’s family to go apple picking with us up in North Georgia. Let me also remind you, I grew up in Richmond, VA where apple picking season is still in session. So we packed a huge picnic, got everyone ready and out of the house by 11, the fields open by 12:30 so we were all on track. We get there and we find out that apparently the droughts have affected the fields and there were no more apples left to pick. They had a few here in there but other than that it was all bare bones, but honestly we weren’t mad or upset. It was the thought that counts so we browsed the fields, I got myself a mini pumpkin, a nice size bucket of already PICKED APPLES, grabbed a jar of honey too and we decided to continue exploring the area. Also had the best homemade coffee ice cream ever.

I feel like you always have to dress for the occasion and being on a farm calls for Hunter Boots and ripped jeans. I love these boots so much that every time I wear them it just makes me want to live out on a farm; enjoy the sunset on the front porch, you know just living the dream. My boots are the matte finish that way if they get dusty or scuffed up it won’t be too noticeable. I wore this white T shirt that I bought at Nordstrom Rack for under $10, sized up to a Medium because I was looking for a relaxed fit, I also brought a sweater along but never actually put it on because I was enjoying the fresh air on my skin. My jeans are Joes and they are available at Nordstrom Rack for under $80, I have also linked an identical pair as well. If you read my previous post about my Longchamp then you know how much I love this black tote and how long I have had it, it’s suitable for any occasion you won’t ever go wrong for investing in one. I filled mine up with all the things I could have possibly needed on a day trip! Thanks so much for visiting and hope my blog post made you giggle a bit, hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween, we had zero trick or treaters which left me with a ton of candy and a minor stomach ache! 🙂

xoxo
