Getting Comfy & Staying Motivated & Setting Goals

Hi Loves! Hope you all are kicking butt this week and staying positive! I have written a paragraph and then I delete it, why you ask, you know when you just have so much to say in so little time, well thats how I am feeling right now. Love putting my heart and soul into my posts, quite frankly into everything I do, whether it’s cook or clean or homework or write a blog post, it all genuinely comes from heart (this is not a joke) For example: laundry, who finds joy in that, I do because I have to hand wash some of my sweaters and when they turn out undamaged I want to scream out of excitement, also the site of a full basket makes me nauseas, so yes when laundry is checked off I get super excited. I also don’t have a super fancy washer and dryer where you can hit the “handwash” cycle and call it a day.

Blog posts too, I have opened up this piece of my life to you all and it can be nerve wracking at times but whats the quote “if it doesn’t scare you, then you aren’t dreaming big enough,” and  I couldn’t agree more. I say it time and time again this blog has honestly been one of the best things I have done for myself besides getting married to my better half. Oops back to the story, I love to talk, can you tell, in this case type, I love sharing thoughts and ideas with you all and it honestly makes me jump for joy when I read your messages and emails; makes me forget about my lack of sleep 🙂 No matter what you do in life, make sure you are happy doing it, work hard and put your heart and soul into everything. Stay motivated, whatever it is that keeps you going; keep on keeping on!! Which makes me want to say something important, please don’t feel discouraged or feel like you aren’t making progress when things aren’t done within a certain period (for example college: some graduate in 3 years some graduate in 10) we all work and do things at our own pace, there are certain circumstances that don’t enable us (whatever that case may be), you don’t have to explain yourself, no one gives you a ticket for not graduating on time (maybe you pay an extra semester) you don’t get punished for not landing your first dream job (maybe you live an extra year or two or 10 with your parents, just means more savings in your account), just keep working hard and you definitely don’t have to be married by 25 and kids before 30; okay yes I’m aware women have some sort of deadline when it comes to kids (biologically speaking).

I’ll be lucky if Arnel and I can decide on a house before 30 lol, we are total opposites when it comes to homes, I am Chip and Joanna all in one, I just think I can renovate and decorate every house all by myself!! 🙂 Also I keep telling Arnel, “Your dad is super handy, we can re-do the kitchen, raise the roof, add new flooring, Arnel goes with that list that you have going, my dad might as well build us a house.” Hmm now I just need to learn how to draw, jk!! Anywho, my point is when I was in undergrad I worked so hard to make sure I graduated on time, right when I registered for classes I would be stressing when’s the next time to register, now I realize those are deadlines created by someone but don’t wreck yourself over them. Not everyone fits the perfect mold! I couldn’t tell you what I did in undergrad it was all one big blur it all went by so fast, I worked, I went to school, I think I attended like 2 or 3 parties, yes I was that kid. Don’t sweat it, you will get there, I promise!…… Some great goals to start with would be: getting straight A’s this semester and applying for a scholarship, visiting 5 museums in 5 different cities, learning a new recipe every week, eating healthy and promoting an active lifestyle, read 10 books before Spring Break. Save $100 or $200 or even $500 a week or month (whatever your budget allows). Write daily to do lists, check them off, realistic to do lists, if they are 10 miles long, you will just feel discouraged,  pace yourself, get organized with a planner (my planner contains my bills, due dates, check lists, to do lists, work hours, school days etc) Okay rant over! Just wanted to share some positive vibes and thoughts 🙂 You got this, you will make a difference and achieve everything you set your mind to, stay true to yourself, stay happy and never give up! Now go get em Tiger!

As for my outfit goes, I really love Birkenstocks, I have the sandal version as well. The reason I wore them this past weekend was because I actually busted my heel on Friday (ouch is right)! They were super comfy, they are super cute to me, they are great for your feet, great arch support too. I love to travel with them, take walks in them, If I am going to be completely honest I have worn them to work all week 🙂 My Ralph Lauren button down is the Non-Iron version and I love the loose fitted look, you can actually tuck this into some ankle pants a blazer and you are ready to take on the world. The best part, it doesn’t wrinkle, can I get a high five please!!! Super great quality too, no need for a fancy washer and dryer, regular old school ones work just fine, throw it in there and it comes out crisp, ready to wear. My jeans are Joe’s and I have them in black as well, super comfy, durable. I can wear them all day every day! My vest is from J.Crew and they are actually having an amazing sale right now, 2 hours left. Use the code GOSHOP. I have linked all the products below. (linked my planner, pencil case and pens below- got a ton of questions from my instastories)

Love you all, sending you a ton of hugs!

xoxo
