White Midi Dress (similar 1, similar 2), Cognac Mules, Hair Bow (similar)
Hiiiii Beautiful People! I saved this dress for my last day in Charleston and couldn’t wait to blog about this look with you all. I had my eyes on this delicate White Midi Dress for a few weeks before I made the purchase. Rebecca Taylor makes some of the prettiest dresses I had ever seen, I absolutely love her choice of fabrics and prints; perfectly structured and feminine pieces. The dress is true to size.
On our last day in Charleston we headed over to Sullivan’s Island, which is still a part of Charleston, but a short 20 minute drive outside the city. We woke up bright and early, enjoyed a big breakfast for two and packed up for a full day of exploring. You honestly won’t need much; a large straw tote, a beach towel (grabbed this the night before at Target) and a snack. We had actually packed a fruit salad so we could enjoy it as a snack on the beach before lunch, it was so yummy and refreshing. Since it was Monday, I figured it wouldn’t be too busy but to my surprise people were out and about with their kiddos or dogs. My hair was definitely flying with the wind so I put this adorable little bow in my hair to keep it away from my face, worked like a charm. It’s old from Forever 21, but I linked a similar one and it’s under $5.
After a nice walk along the beach, I slipped out of my flip flops and into my Cognac Mules for a more polished look; I have pretty narrow feet and had trouble finding mules that wouldn’t be too wide and these were love at first sight without a doubt. They are so comfy and stylish and so versatile, can be paired with jeans, shorts or dresses.
By 11am we had already worked up an appetitive and headed over to Poe’s Tavern before the lunch rush. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this place, the atmosphere, the people, it was honestly a breath of fresh air and the food was spectacular. This was by far our favorite place to eat, can’t wait to go back for more. Of course I had to get some ice cream before we headed back to the beach and right down the street from Poe’s Tavern is Beardcat’s Sweet Shop, such a cute little shop, I had their Pistachio Gelato in a Waffle Cone, (fun fact: pistachio anything is my favorite).
I will be sharing more travel tips and Charleston must see spots soon, stay tuned!
Thank you for stopping by, love seeing all the new faces!
xoxo
