On our most recent trip to Bluffton, SC, Arnel and I decided to set a day aside to spend on Hilton Head Island since it’s a short drive from our cottage. We got up really early Saturday morning, packed a beach bag full of snacks, towels and sunscreen. We did our research and found that Hilton Head Island has plenty of public parking along with various public access points for visitors like us.
Though the streets and pathways were already filling up with strollers and excited chatter, Arnel and I found this quiet little access point which led us to an area with tall grass and bright blue skies. Since we packed a ton of goodies, it turned into a picnic on the beach filled with fruit, pressed sandwiches and sparkling water. While Arnel worked on setting up our umbrella I whisked away to the beach to dip my feet into the salty water, which was beyond refreshing. The salty water really does wonders to the body.
While picking up some last minute items before our trip, I found these adorable yellow polka dot beach towels at Home Goods, couldn’t find the exact same one online, but linked two fun prints here and here. These past few summers, I have really invested in some great one piece swimsuits and this print might be one of my favorites thus far. Wearing a size Small in this Nanette Lepore Swimsuit and it fits TTS, I also I found the same print in just a different style here available in all sizes. After we got all settled in we, enjoyed the rest of the morning and afternoon by the beach talking up a storm about all the fun trips we hope and plan to take this year and how amazing it would be to have a house by the beach, have to keep dreaming am I right.
