As a lover of white dresses and intricate detailing, this white dress was sure to have both and I made sure to scoop it right up. I had originally recommended the white dress to a co-worker who was looking to wear it for a weekend event. I often do that, I will recommend an alternative budget friendly version and then I end up purchasing it myself which is exactly what I did here. I ended up wearing it over the weekend for a cute date with Arnel, so instead of pairing it with some heels or wedges, I went with my Pink Vince Loafers which leads me into my Day 2 of my mini series on “How To Wear Pink Loafers.”

While grabbing a quick bite to eat and running a few errands this past weekend, I needed a dress that I could throw on but still look like I didn’t just roll out of bed. This Eyelet Shift Dress is perfect for that (wearing a size 0 for reference), I honestly tried both the 0P and the zero and while though the 0P was perfect I went with the (size 0) so that I can re-wear it to work (gives me an extra inch in length). Shift dresses tend to have a straight fit, which is one of the reasons many reach for them, they are great for events, weddings, brunch or even the corporate world.  They also provide the best coverage after an indulging meal; dinner and dessert (no one will notice a thing). I also found several other shift dresses that I absolutely adore; this Lace Shift (available in Turqoise and Pink), Scalloped Dress, & this Tie Sleeve Dress in Blush.

I almost forgot to mention, Arnel founded the cutest little community Koi Pond smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood; it was so humid out since it had poured just 15 minutes prior to us walking outdoor which meant the mosquitos were having a party all over my legs so the Koi Pond excursion had to get cut short, but it was a nice site. Can’t remember the last time I saw a Koi Pond, probably last November in Hawaii and it brought back so many memories, hoping Arnel isnt’ reading this right now because he will find any excuse for us to go back to Hawaii.

Anywhoo!…. One of the many reasons why I love investing in a great pair of loafers is how much wear I get out of them and of course how chic they look with dresses, skirts or pants. Don’t be afraid to pair loafers with dresses, it really gives you a put together appearance without the aches of heels. I have two favorites currently on my wish list, these Mansur Gavriel and these M.Gemi Pointed Toe.

Would love to see what are some of your favorite comfy flats that you like to dress up!
