J.Crew Silk Top, Bumblebee High Waisted Shorts (also love these), Steve Madden Sandals
I have already started preparing and packing for NYFW, since it’s my first time in NYC and it will be my first time for NYFW I am pretty excited and looking forward to one of the most exciting weeks in the fashion industry. I had originally saved this look for NYC but couldn’t help but share it now.
I had been on a hunt for a silk top and couldn’t quite find one until I stumbled onto this gorgeous Navy Button Down which I had to have, the best part it’s under $70. There are so many that I loved that were just well over $100 and I couldn’t get myself to bite the bullet, so I patiently waited and there it was. I am wearing a size 0 for reference (true to size). It’s light weight, elegant and would also look great with this skirt from Club Monaco for the fall.

This is a bit random but has this ever happened to anyone; where you see something and then a few days later the thing you saw somehow links to another (confused?!) let me elaborate. We went to Sprouts (similar to Whole Foods) and while Arnel was loading up the groceries at the register I always get distracted by all the little goodies next to the register; the magazines, the organic hand sanitizer, the gum etc. Well a stand with flower seeds was on this little round carousel and while I was picking out a few, I noticed one in particular SAVE THE BEES and I grabbed it because quite honestly I hadn’t noticed that many bees this past summer and as much as others might not be so fond of them, Arnel and I love them and without them we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the raw honey we both love so much. So I grabbed a few because there is nothing better than investing into a good cause and helping the environment by planting a few flowers to help the bees (Though, there is a difference between honey bees and bumblebees; both are needed in our environment and help with our agricultural crop production and unfortunately have been declining due to parasites and pesticides.)
Fast forward to a few days later, J.Crew gets in a new shipment of arrivals and while hunting for my silk top I noticed these High Waisted Bee Shorts. Without hesitation I picked them up right away!
This look will definitely be coming with me to NYC, it’s perfect for events and date night with the hubby, the Suede Sandals is a must have heel for everyone and adds the perfect dressy touch! The block heel is also comfortable for walking and standing for longer periods, definitely my go to pair time after time; seen here, here & here.
Hope you have an amazing week!
