Pink Silk Tank For A Day In SoHo

J.Crew Jeans (sold out, similar here), Silk Tank (also comes in Navy, love this one under $40), Vince Loafers, Cuyana Satchel, Gray Cardigan (old, similar here)

We have been home since Tuesday and totally missing NYC! The city is seriously one of the most amazing cities in the world. I also can’t get over all the wonderful people I bumped into from all the amazing uber drivers to the random celebrities to the cafe owners who approached us to make sure we enjoyed our food and the wonderful hotel staff where we stayed. While time was limited with things to see and do, Arnel and I squeezed in a fun day in NYC.

On this particular day Arnel and I got up pretty early like we usually do while on vacation because we try to explore as much as possible, so no sleeping in. We planned out our day but kept it pretty relaxed because we just wanted to enjoy the city, indulge in pastries, walk through the neighborhoods and check out the local hot spots. We usually avoid crazy busy touristy areas just because they can get over crowded and overwhelming.

Arnel and I grabbed some lunch at Black Tap, seriously their burgers are amazing and their milkshakes are pretty impressive. I recommend splitting one because they are huge and so delicious. We pretty much devoured them and then made sure to walk it all off. After checking out a few stores, indulging in a cup of coffee for some much needed energy, we stopped by the Laduree in SoHo where I pretty much wanted to try every macaron available. They seriously are the best and I may or may not have gone back the next day for some more. My favorites were definitely the chocolate orange, raspberry, vanilla, oh what am I saying I loved them all. If you ask Arnel, he will tell you I pretty much inhaled them in under 5 minutes. I have a major sweet tooth, but with all the walking we had done it was totally okay to go overboard on the sweets.

Did I mention we walked a ton, of course the Uber helped us every once in a while but most of the time we walked, which is why I opted for my go to  Vince Blush Loafers, which are absolutely amazing and feel like I am walking on clouds. After walking in heels  for 4 days straight, battle wounds and all, my feet definitely enjoyed the flats. No complaints here! I also tried to keep it casual yet cute, so I slipped on this Rose Silk Tank that I am beyond obsessed with, wearing a 00 for reference. It can be worn tucked in or left out, it can also be worn with a skirt or with jeans. I wore my favorite Button Front Jeans (sold out) but J.Crew just came out with a blue denim pair and I loving them, also found a similar white pair here.

Since I knew we would hit random wind tunnels and sit at restaurants, I grabbed my gray cardigan to keep my warm just incase it got chilly, so it’s great to keep one handy. I found a few similar budget friendly ones here, here & here.

What are some of your favorite things to do and see when in NYC?
