Fall Tablescapes: Decorating for Thanksgiving

flatware, thanksgiving decor, table set up, ralph lauren napkins, mikasa

It’s mid October already which means that Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I can’t be the only one that is super excited about all the family time and all the amazing home cooked meals. Thanksgiving is the perfect time for pumpkin patches, apple picking and wood burning in the fireplace (except we don’t have one). While decorating I like to add seasonal pieces that compliment our current home decor, so going the neutral route works best when transitioning from one season to the next.

Made sure to make our home extra cozy this past weekend, adding all my fall favorites from pumpkins to lots of fresh greenery to cute little fall trinkets. One of my favorite places to find fall decor items are definitely Home Goods and  Joss & Mainboth have such great finds and budget friendly items; from wall art to decorative pieces.

Our color palette at home is very neutral, lots of white, beige, gray tones, wood textures along with hints of gold. Loved adding fresh Eucalyptus  and the Eucalyptus Silver dollar in vases and around the table, they smell amazing and the earth tones are perfect for the holidays. You can definitely add ceramic pumpkins or real ones and arrange them randomly throughout the center of the table!

Flatware is a great way to add color, love that I found this Gold Mikasa Set, to be honest this set is for special occasions only so I love having them out for the upcoming holidays and when we have dinner at home with friends and family. I am a huge fan of the gold flatware, I have seen them everywhere lately; they also look great with my Royal Albert Set.  This Mikasa Bone China Plate Set is currently on sale; love these for everyday use, the quality is exceptional and worth every penny.

The placemats and napkins are old, linked similar ones below; the neutral shades tie in with the gold and white and can be used for seasons to come, just add various napkins for the different holidays/seasons and your table decor will always look perfect.

What are ways that you all like to decorate season after season?

Hope you have a great week!
