Earth tones for fall are a must; nothing better than blending in with your surroundings. Recently I have been most inspired by all the changes around me from the grass changing color to all the bright colored leaves and lets not forget all the different shades of pumpkins. As we are hit by a cold front, I keep reaching for my cozy sweaters and bundling up, especially in the mornings.

If you read my interview with Maxwell-Scott, you may have noticed that my ideal evening is spent with friends and family around the dinner table, which is exactly what we did this past weekend. Arnel and I are both super close to our families and we love spending every free minute with them. Now that my sister lives in Atlanta, it’s so much fun to just have brunch and dinner and shop while the boys are off doing boy stuff.

We had a huge family dinner Saturday evening and I opted for a comfy yet casual look. I went with these Citizen Of Humanity Rocket Jeans (size down, wearing a 25 for reference) that are just ultra flattering. I had mentioned them on Insta stories last weekend and I wasn’t kidding, truly are the best pair of jeans ever. The tuxedo stripe on the side is very on trend, also these jeans can definitely be dressed up, especially with a pair of pumps and a gorgeous blouse for a night out. They don’t stretch out or get loose, they are a bit on the pricey side so I found some more budget friendly version here & here.

I love a cozy knit and was so excited to see that this Bubble Stitch Sweater was back this season, I love this rust color, it’s the perfect shade that looks great with both black or brown tones. It would look great with some dark denim jeans or even a beige mini skirt with boots. I am wearing a size Small for an oversize fit, but you can definitely size down for a more fitted look. It also comes in a few other colors; also have it in the Heather Charcoal.

Last but not least I am wearing my new Lady Coat from J.Crew that I love so much. I purchased the coat in Moss, it’s the perfect shade of olive, will look great with majority of my fall attire and it’s super warm. I purchased it in both 0 and 2, because I couldn’t quite decide on my size. The 0 is definitely more fitted and you can’t wear as many layers under while the 2 is more for layering and thicker sweaters. It also comes in the prettiest colors, I love the amber and the tea rose, very elegant and vibrant.

I wanted to wear my Leopard Loafers a few more times before it gets extremely cold and before I resort to boots only. I also added a Black Floppy Hat because as I mentioned it was quite chilly this past weekend and nothing like adding a hat for style an for warmth. I found an identical version for $20 here and here.

This look is definitely something you can wear for Thanksgiving or date night with the family, it’s appropriate, comfortable, yet very chic!

Arnel and I are off to drink some hot tea and enjoy an episode of Stranger Things before we go to bed, hope you all had an amazing weekend! Who else is a fan of Stranger Things? Arnel kind of got me hooked!
