Dressing For Spring Already

Saloni Dress, (similar under $70), Schutz Slides (similar here), Sea & Grass Tote

Could this be real? We almost had a day without any rain, almost but not quite a whole day! The weather here has been absolutely horrible, it rains almost everyday, sometimes all day long. It rained most of the summer last year and we were so bummed. This year I am hoping to enjoy every bit sunshine that we get, even if it’s just for a few hours which is why I am taking advantage of it and dressing for spring already even if it’s only February!

This past weekend we actually got to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday which was so wonderful, for those that are new around here, my sister is married to Arnel’s younger brother so birthdays and family time is extra special. It’s also nice to have your sister as your sister in law. We also got to bring our father in law along, who is still recovering from his surgery but thankfully he is doing so much better. He actually had a pretty bad injury back in November, which has been rough, especially when you are used to seeing him walk around and enjoy life and for the past 3 months it’s been difficult but overall he is doing much better. He has another surgery coming up in the next few weeks and a few procedures but we are staying hopeful. Which is the reason Arnel and I have been a little MIA, we have tried to spend as much family time as possible and I haven’t quite been myself or had the energy to write as much as I usually do.

Now that things are getting better I feel like I can finally get back into the swing of things and finally work on all the projects that Arnel and I have planned. We also booked a trip to Charleston in two weeks, with that said, I think I went a little happy with ordering dresses but who’s complaining. This Saloni Dress that I scooped up while on sale on MatchesFashion which is one of my new favorite online shops; their shipping is fast and their packaging is adorable. I also love that this dress is so versatile, easy to transition from colder to warmer months and the sleeves are adorable. I ended up wearing this dress to work the other day and again on Sunday because I just loved it so much!

I kept it super casual with my favorite Leather Woven Schutz Slides and a my Straw Bag, which is one of my favorites, the quality is impeccable and so durable, it’s also lined which is an A plus in my book!
