Happy December, the holidays are in full swing and we have such a busy month that I kind of don’t know where to begin but that’s okay, we will figure it out together. First thing on the agenda is to cover my favorite winter coats that you need in your wardrobe. I have been on such a coat kick lately and have ordered a ton recently and of course re-wearing my favorites from years past.

On our recent trip to Richmond for Thanksgiving, I made sure to pack some of my favorites like this new J.Crew Daphne Coat that I recently received. I have it in the Green Speckled that I purchased last year. J.Crew is currently doing a campaign with One Warm Coat which is  coat drive to make sure thousands of families in need aren’t cold this winter season. You can donate a coat at any J.Crew now through December 25th. If you donate a coat you can get $25 off any purchase of $125 or higher. Regardless of a purchase if you or any of your family members have coats that aren’t being used make sure you swing by your local J.Crew and donate them. It’s for an amazing cause and it’s an amazing time to give this holiday season.

Since we are on the topic of coats, I would love to share some of my favorites that have been on repeat lately, like this Theory Wool/Cashmere Coat that I purchased last year, it’s insanely warm but so light weight at the same time. This Apparis Faux Fur Coat that Arnel likes to call the polar bear coat. I recently purchased and let me tell you, it’s also insanely warm; love that it comes in a ton of colors. For a classic coat, I highly recommend this J.Crew Lady Coat, I have it in a few colors already and its by far one of my favorite coats. I recommend going up a size in the lady coat because it is a fitted coat. Linking more favorites below.

Now for the 28 Week Bump Update

We are officially about to enter the 3rd trimester right? it’s at 28 weeks, so many apps say different things, I don’t even know anymore. Anywho, we have about 12 more weeks to go which seems like forever away but it will be here before we know it.

The second trimester I felt like was pretty smooth sailing, I had a few random rashes here and there but have felt pretty good. I also tend to forget about my not so good moments that half the time I just let the nausea and vomiting slide and tell myself it’s totally fine, it comes with being pregnant. I have also had a super positive outlook on pregnancy that I genuinely forget the moments where I have felt groggy or felt sick.

Acid reflux has come and gone and the milk shake trick has really helped, the only thing is when it hits me at like 10pm I am like oh gosh do I send Arnel out to get me a milkshake or do I just let it go, most of the time we just run out and get a milkshake and it calms it right away. I never knew what heartburn or acid reflux really felt like until this pregnancy but it’s just temporary and I have found a solution so it’s not too bad.

I have been a bit more emotional the last few weeks and I miss my family a ton, I have wanted to just hang out with Arnel and snuggle in bed which I am sure is just a part of the nesting phase and of course I am obsessed with him so whats new.

Lastly, the bump is getting bigger and I am getting shortness of breath when walking up stairs or bending over but thats because baby is taking up more space in my belly so that’s normal. I also started working out again, doing barre classes 4 days a week. Of course I modify a ton of the exercises, like no crunches or crazy ab work outs and leaning too far back but the instructors are really great at teaching you how to modify everything. I also feel like I have become stronger which is super important to me and I think working out is great for mental health especially when you are feeling great about yourself. And as a momma to be I just want to be as positive and happy for this little baby.

Also I just want to say how grateful we are for all the support this community has provided us and I am so excited to share this new chapter in our lives with you all. We are so excited for baby to arrive but we know we have to be a bit more patient so that she can grow big and strong.
