Susana Monaco Dress, Neiman Marcus Cashmere Duster (similar here), Cesta Collective Handbag, Stubbs & Wotton Loafers
I feel like I have been in total nesting mode lately and just purely relaxing with Arnel the last several weeks. I know I have been MIA at times but working and working on the blog can really suck up all your energy, no complaints here just the simple truth. When I get a burst of energy I really get super excited about sitting down and writing whether it’s on the blog or in my journal. I also have so many great ideas that I just can’t wait to share with you all but have definitely been taking it slow the last several months. We have about 5.5 weeks to go with baby, or so they say but we shall see. On the weekends we have been running last minute errands, I have also had a few crying sessions because baby’s room isn’t finished yet but that’s okay, it will get completed eventually. Anywhoo, lets dive into today’s post!
As soon as the new year arrives I feel like deep down I just count the days that it hits above 60 degrees and Spring has arrived. There is something about the new year and warmer weather, but the reality is it’s still winter in most places and probably will be for a little while longer. I also want to stop wearing heavy winter coats and scarves and bring out all my pastels, who’s with me? This is the time where I mix a little bit of both spring and winter pieces for this in between season where the weather fluctuates every other week. It’s been in the high 50s for most days but then it drops down to 20 so I have picked out some pieces that are my go to items for that transitional time and work great for warmer and colder months.
You have probably seen me wear this Long Cashmere Duster over and over again, it’s definitely one of my favorites. It’s been something I wear around the house as well as in the office. It’s great with lounge wear as well as pretty dresses. Favorite part is, it’s light but yet super cozy at the same time. Best part is it’s great for layering during those cold winter months yet light enough to wear when Spring arrives.
Loafers are the real MVPs in my life, I have invested in so many over the years that I don’t know how I will ever go back to anything else. They are so comfortable for work and look great with everything and anything all year round. I also love investing in pretty prints and bright colors. I love these Leopard Print Stubbs & Wotton that I picked up last month, they are going to be perfect for those spring days with jeans and a T-shirt as well as now. They are insanely comfortable and look so chic with so much of my wardrobe. I also wore another Stubbs & Wotton pair here in this blog post.
I have loved incorporating my basket bags in the colder months, while most would opt to wear them in the spring and summer, i have quite honestly loved pairing them with my winter wardrobe. I recently scored this Cesta Collective Handbag about a week ago and have worn it non stop, it’s the cutest and the dark brown is perfect for the winter months. I also love the black leather strap, totally love mixing brown and black tones together. I am also eyeing this bag for the spring, love the stripes and bright colors too.
Final item are my go to dresses, especially recently since I am pregnant and comfy/stretchy dresses are the current staple in my closet. I also love that I will be able to wear this Susana Monaco Dress even after pregnancy since it’s non maternity. I also wore the navy version to my baby shower and quite honestly every time I post about it on insta stories I get dozens of questions. It’s definitely a splurge but so worth it. Dresses are great for those in between seasons because you can just add some tights for warmth with some cute flats or heels and you are good to go. Also investing in dresses that are in neutral shades makes them easier for transitioning into seasons. I personally love creams, camels and neutrals.
I hope you all have a fabulous start to your week, as always thanks for stopping by and reading! We appreciate the continuous support and love you all so much!
