Knot Sisters White Dress, Abercrombie & Fitch Denim Jacket, Castaner Wedges (budget friendly version here), Celine Sunglasses (budget friendly version here), Pamela Munson Plaid Tote, Bugaboo Stroller
Hi Friends, it feels so good to take a second and just write again! As many of you know, we have a little newborn and have been so devoted to taking care of her that posting and writing has been on the back burner. Even as I write this post Sofia is actually on me in her little Baby Bjorn carrier because she has been a fussy baby all day long that I am trying to multi task because the last 6 hours have been spent trying to soothe her, that finally carrying her was the only thing that helped. I know everyone says I will kick myself for it later because that’s all she will want but for now I am okay with it.
I am slowly transitioning into motherhood and as I embark on this new journey, I am so happy to have all of you along for this adventure. There are so many things that we are learning and struggling with as new parents but it’s totally normally and we are trying not to be so hard on ourselves, after all it’s only been two weeks. I am slowly trying to find some sort of routine so that Arnel and I can both function and we try to get things done when she is napping. We also try to squeeze in a nap or two when she naps. I am also super lucky to have Arnel, he has truly been so amazing and the best dad to Sofi. I honestly don’t think I could do this alone, it truly takes a village and then some.
One thing I have looked forward to since having our little Sofi, is all the Spring time weather and all the warm sunshine. Not only is it my favorite season but it has truly done wonders to my mood. It makes me look forward to the upcoming months and how different they will be now that we have a little baby. The weather here has been so beautiful that we tried to spend it outdoors as a family, even if it’s just for a few hours. It’s also nice that Sofi loves her stroller and takes super long naps in it, making it super easy for us to take long walks without a screaming session.
Another thing that has been great is all the pumping sessions late at night have lead to lots of spring time purchases. While I am still trying to lose the baby weight there are things that I can wear now and later on when the baby weight comes off. I think that’s why I am a huge fan of dresses because they transition nicely with every stage of post partum that you might be in. I actually purchased this White Dress by Knot Sisters a few weeks ago during the Shopbop sale and have worn it non stop the last two weeks. It’s definitely one of my new favorite dresses, it’s also non maternity and would be great for everyone and anyone. The one thing I have struggled with the most is actually finding dresses that fit my chest because my chest has quadrupled in size and finding dresses that fit both the chest and the rest of my body is hard to come by these days. It is true to size, so order your normal size.

I have also invested in a few denim jackets for Spring and ordered a few in different colors that I can’t wait to just break into. I recently purchased this Abercrombie & Fitch Denim Jacket in light denim. It also fits a bit oversize and I don’t have anything like it in my closet currently so I thought it would be nice to add to the collection. I am actually wearing an XS so you can definitely wear your normal size or even size down one because it’s more of a boyfriend fit. It’s also currently on sale for under $80!

Another recent favorite purchases have been my accessories, since I am still waiting to fit back into most of my old wardrobe, I have loved ordering a ton of accessories like shoes, jewelry and handbags. You all probably watched my stories when I shared my Pink Castaner Wedges a few weeks ago, well I finally brought them out yesterday and took them out for a spin. This is by far one of my favorite brands in wedges and have featured them in multiple blog posts here and here. I also found a budget friendly version here for under $50. And this new Pamela Munson Tote is perfect for the Spring and Summer, it also happens to be girly enough for a diaper bag, while I don’t necessarily have a diaper bag dedicated for just Sofi’s items, I have used this one the most recently. Most of Sofi’s stuff is neatly organized in various pouches, making them easy to transition from one bag to another. This bag is also great for upcoming beach trips, or days at the park when you have to fill it up with snacks and goodies.

Alright last thing on the list are my new sunglasses that were actually an early birthday gift from Arnel. I had been wanting a new pair and these Celine Cat Eye Sunglasses were so perfect that I had to have them. The color has been so popular because it’s not quite a brown and it’s not quite a yellow either, it’s the perfect beige/tan shade that honestly works perfect with my skin tone. These were definitely a splurge so not to worry I found a super budget friendly version here for under $70. I also ordered them myself because they were too good to pass up.
