After a few days in NYC Arnel and I decided to watch the sunrise from the Brooklyn Bridge because what’s a trip to NYC without a shot on the bridge?! We were determined, so we set our alarms and after a few snoozes, we were up, dressed and in an uber on our way. At first it can be a bit scary, it’s technically in the middle of the night but to my surprise, there were several runners and bike riders swiftly going past us.

The mornings are quite chilly so if you are are heading out for a sunrise view, I highly recommend a jacket or even a blanket scarf to stay warm and cozy. NYC mornings gave me all the feels for fall, the crisp morning air, the lower temps and all the trees already starting to change color; totally need that in GA. We found the perfect spot with the most perfect view, who am I kidding, the entire bridge has the most perfect view. Arnel and I sat on a bench and watched the dark blue night turn into gold and pink hues as the sun started to rise.

To top off a perfect morning, we took photos on the bridge in my  J.Crew Ombre Pleated Skirt, I sure did match the sky. I actually ended up wearing it to the Reward Style Retreat and received a ton of compliments on it. The colors are perfect for transitioning into fall, the hint of golden yellow and burnt orange bring out the colors of the fall leaves and pairing it with a cozy Ivory Sweater (extra 30% off with code VIP) or Cashmere Turtle Neck would look perfect. I went with an Ivory Silk Blouse; if you have noticed silk is definitely my new favorite obsession, it’s also available in more colors and sizes here. Love the way it feels, also great for layering under a sweater for the upcoming cooler months.
