I feel like I haven’t been on here in a while and need to update you guys with everything that has been happening! The last several weeks have been a blur, a painful blur. It all started a few weeks ago right around the time I started my new job, now it could be the stress of a new job, new role or just the timing of allergy season. I started coming down with horrible sinus issues, headaches and just overall fatigue, just wasn’t feeling well at all. Then things got worse, the sinus pressure got so mad I could barely keep my eyes open, ended up trying some OTC and some home remedies and of course it has to get much worse before it can get better. Ended up with a pretty bad sinus infection and headaches for about 2 weeks straight and just when I thought that was over, I end up getting the worst migraine Friday and Saturday and I try so hard to power through them but the pain was so bad that I spent pretty much all day Saturday in bed, trying various things from hot showers to cold compresses to eating certain foods to a neck massages, I mean I tried it all. I mean lets just say I was in tears! But I am so thankful beyond words that I am feeling normal again, really don’t want to jinx myself. But my appreciation for just feeling well is on a new level. It truly is all about the little things in life.
Anywho, sorry to bore you all with my rough few weeks, just felt like I needed to share what’s been happening lately! We did have to reschedule our upcoming Palm Beach trip as well just because of all the weather and rain in the south eastern region. But that’s okay, pushing it back a few weeks is fine with us, gives me more time to plan for some more summer clothes. Which reminds, I have been adding more and more peplum tops to my collection recently, you may have also caught a new favorite on my insta stories from the other night (also added to my Shop highlights on instagram).
While shopping around I knew I needed a few short-sleeve tops for work as well as for the humid Georgia weather and loved this Madewell Button Front Peplum Top. It’s so versatile and so precious on! I thought this would be a great top to add to my collection of work tops as well as weekend tops. It would look super cute with a pair of Chino Shorts or even this Scalloped Pair here. I ended up pairing it with a pair of Dark Jeans for a casual Friday at work and everyone loved it. I am wearing a small in the top and size 25 in the jeans. The top I did go up one size but could have easily been fine with the xs.
The jeans have been my favorite style, the Rocket Crop by Citizens Of Humanity! Ultra flattering, high-rise and are super soft. Love that they can be dressed up or down and everyone needs a pair of non-distressed jeans. I also found a budget friendly version here & here.
Let’s discuss mules/slides, they have been my go to lately so perfect for transitional weather and really dresses up a look. Instead of added a pair of flip flops or sandals opt for these Leather Mules. I also recently purchased these Raffia Pair and love them for the summer!
