Big Announcement

First and foremost I would like to thank you all for being so patient with me the last few weeks/months as I took some time off blogging and social media. The reason for this little break is because I had this little human growing inside me and I wanted nothing but devote all my time and focus on making sure I stay healthy and rest a ton. We are over the moon and so excited to start this new journey with #helloitsbaby and couldn’t wait to share the big announcement with you all!

A little back story on my pregnancy, back in May Arnel and I decided that would just wouldn’t be careful anymore and start trying to have a family. I have heard so much about infertility and quite honestly anyone who knows me knows paranoia hits and I always prepare for the absolute worst. I said whatever happens happens and what is meant for us will be. Well little did I know that I got pregnant fairly quickly found out on July 8th to be exact. To say I am thankful would be an understatement, everyday I thank God for this baby and everyday I pray for those trying for a baby because getting pregnant and trying to get pregnant is bigger than us all and your time will come (love you all).

I had been taking a ton of naps in June, but I mean I always take naps but I was just way more tired than ever before. I blamed it on the new job. So when I missed my period in June I told Arnel that I would wait 7 more days and then I would take a pregnancy test. Well I woke up super early one Sunday morning around 4 am and I just had to pee so bad, so I figured why not just take the test now it’s been a few days and if I am pregnant it will show it if not well then try and try again. So while I peed on the stick I walked over to the kitchen to grab a glass of water which took about 30 seconds and before I could even take a sip, I covered my mouth because the stick said PREGNANT. I mean I was in disbelief, shocked, couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Pretty sure I left my glass and never actually took a sip. Anywho, I walked over to our bedroom and as much as I wanted to wait for Arnel to wake up, waiting until sunrise seemed like a lifetime, so I shook him a little and I said babe look and he saw the stick and he just started kissing me and hugging me. It was the cutest and sweetest reaction ever, it’s one memory I love to replay in my head. I tried to sleep but really i just kept saying omg omg omg (shock is an understatement). I waited about half an hour and I called my mom, mind you its like 5 am (she is an early bird and had guests at the house) which is why I knew she would be up. Told her the news and she was like would you like me to tell dad and everyone else or do you want to tell them and I said I would tell everyone like our siblings my in laws. And they have been nothing less of excited, I mean they check in on me daily, they love asking about baby and love hearing about what size the baby is this week.

Our immediate family and friends were so excited for us! I made sure to tell them that it’s still early so they can’t tell anyone! Of course they weren’t the problem, holding this secret has been the hardest secret ever, and I am SOOOO THANKFUL for my blogger friends who have kept me company and talked me through everything, your support and kindness and letting me know that it’s okay if I had the fries and that it’s okay to eat the ice cream and drink soda (balance right).

Anywho, I could go on for days and talk about everything so stay tuned as I talk more about this pregnancy and your advice is so very much appreciated because I know nothing, I spend so much time googling what I can and cannot eat, I’m a mess!

But once again thank you for being so patient with me and supporting me as I took some time off so that baby bear and I get as much rest as possible. You all have no idea how much it means to us!

With that being said I also couldn’t keep a secret from you guys so I would love to let you know that we are having a Little Girl (a pretty pink macaron) and we seriously are so excited and my family, well let’s just say that have ordered little baby uggs and bows and everything pink. Now Arnel gets to spoil another princess!

Also for everyone asking where Arnel is, well he is there just behind the camera and we couldn’t’ find someone to take a picture of us, but I promise he is there! lol

I would also love to thank BHLDN for sending me this stunning dress which I wore for the shoot and it’s honestly the most gorgeous dress ever, it would be perfect for any occasion, weddings, bridesmaids, maid of honor, galas or even maternity shoots.
