It’s that time of year for pool parties and a ton of cookouts and I am not complaining. There is nothing better than grilling some burgers on a summer evening with a ton of friends and family. I always end up reaching for a dress because I love how easy they are to throw on and the versatility of them.

I was recently introduced to a cute little boutique here in Atlanta, ‘The Impeccable Pig.’ They have the cutest little rompers and dresses and the perfect accessories to go with your outfit. I couldn’t pass up this OTS dress; would also be a perfect beach cover up. I have been a huge fan of all the OTS tops and dresses lately, they are so flattering around the neckline and the shape is perfect for hiding those extra burgers and sweets you indulged in.

Whether I am headed to a pool party or a cookout I usually end up carrying my straw tote; it’s spacious and perfect for the summer. I make sure to bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent (because those little guys just love my blood); the little travel sizes are so convenient so I end up just throwing them in a little cosmetics pouch like this gingham one currently on sale under $20. I also found a few straw totes currently on sale and come in a ton of different colors and patterns, love this one and this one (fully lined).

I can’t rave enough about the double strap sandals that I have seen everywhere, definitely one of my favorite trends. I used to wear a ton of thong sandals but every now and then a ton of walking would eventually start to irritate the skin between the toes, but now it’s a breeze. The Raffia Sandals look great with a casual dress but can also be paired with some cropped pants and or jeans, also love these.

PS I am in desperate need of catching up on sleep, this traveling has been kicking my butt! Arnel got a cold (pretty bad one) so I am trying to nurse him back to health and catch up on laundry. Stay tuned for new blog posts this week!
