NYFW Day 1 & 2

Free People Skirt $60, J.Crew Ruffled Top, Leopard Loafers, Cuyana Satchel, Club Monaco Trench (last seen here), Ray Ban Sunglasses (unpolarized here)

We are in New York City for the first time and it’s Fashion Week which makes the time spent here even more magical. The city is full of life, shops, cafes along with a never ending list of things to do. While our time is limited with events, we are trying to see and do as much as possible!

We flew out super early out of Atlanta Wednesday morning because I had my first show to attend, Pamella Roland at 4pm. To say I was running on adrenaline and caffeine would be an understatement considering I only had about an hour of sleep and that was on the plane. Once we landed in NYC I had a quick meeting and then had to get ready for the show (will share photos of the look soon). But the no sleep was totally worth it!

The show was absolutely amazing, it was fun and filled with glamorous people, if you watched my insta stories you may have noticed Nigel Barker & J. Alexander from America’s Next Top Model were a few feet away and I was totally fan crushing. I also saw Miss USA 2012 Olivia Culpo, but it’s NYC so you literally just see actors and actresses walking around, I promise I wasn’t a crazy fan, I totally played it cool. But in all honestly I can’t see quite well without my glasses so by the time I realize who it actually it is, they have already walked past me (whoops)!

Anywho, today we explored the Chelsea area since I had a meeting and Arnel had a few things he had to tend to. I made sure to squeeze in some shopping and exploring, then had lunch at Westville Chelsea, a cute little spot on 18th street near Chelsea Market. I went with the grilled Salmon with Sweet Potato Fries & Asparagus, so delicious and highly recommended. The staff was super kind and the place was actually packed but we got a quiet spot, a table for two and enjoyed some quality time, which we needed.

Went with a monochromatic look with a twist! Recently purchased this Rose Faux Suede Skirt (wearing a size 2 for reference) and honestly I wish it came in more colors. This fit is perfect, a bit high rise to accentuate the waist and doesn’t’ rise up. There are so may skirts that just end up rising up but this one sits right where it’s meant to sit and felt super comfortable all day and no joke we did around 10 miles of walking. I paired it with a White Ruffled top (make sure to size down, wearing a 00 for reference). Love the crisp white cotton, very airy and the ruffles just add a fun touch to it.

My Cuyana Satchel has been my favorite, it’s a bag I have been wanting for a while and so glad it arrived before NYFW. The color is Quartz and goes with everything that I currently brought to NY. Was actually telling Arnel how I love it so much I need it in another shade! It’s very roomy and has an attachable strap. For a pop of texture and color I went with Leopard Loafers, which are super comfortable, considering I walked so much in them, please note you will have to wear them a bit and they will mold to your food. I also always add gel pads on the back of my heels for comfort with new shoes.

Since it was really chilly in the morning, I brought my Club Monaco Trench (last worn here) and it was light weight yet warm. There were times where it would get super hot so I would end up taking it off and then there are pockets of the city where the wind blows and you feel like you might just fly away.

So sorry for the super long post, I am off to a busy day definitely need a big cup of coffee; have been up since 4:30 this morning so wish me look. Thankfully Starbucks is literally next door to our hotel so I will be fueling up as we speak!

Love you guys so much, thank you for the constant love and support, it really makes my heart so happy and means the absolute world to me.
