Happy Wednesday! Can you believe that it’s February 1st tomorrow? I can’t, time keeps flying! It’s also Valentines Day in just 2 weeks and then Arnel’s Birthday is on the 25th. February is always such a special month and I always make it extra special to spoil Arnel a bit more. It’s also my mother in law’s birthday on the 20th so let’s just say this upcoming month will be extra busy.
So what do you get a man that doesn’t need or want anything? It’s so hard to find gifts for Arnel because he seriously doesn’t want anything. If you ask him, he will say he wants a home made apple cake, I am not exaggerating that’s his response every time. Also Arnel would love for me to gift him a day at the park hiking and running, that might be his ultimate dream, he just loves to be outdoors. So here are a few things that are budget friendly and fun to do!
A Day At The Park: Yes truly this can be a Valentine’s Day gift, pack up a picnic basket with fruits and snacks pack your bikes and head to the park, your sweet hubby or boyfriend will love it! Write him a note a few days before and tell him that you have a mini date planned one Saturday morning.
Cook Together: Cooking is great for the soul and what’s better than cooking together, pick a recipe that you have been waiting to make, pick up all the groceries and light up a few candles, turn on some music, open up the windows and cook away. I found a super simple and healthy recipe below
Movie Night: Pick a movie you both love to watch and haven’t watched in a while and create a cozy area on the floor filled with pillows and snacks. Arnel and I love binge watching shows, currently we are watching “This Is Us” and “Dirty Money.”
Voucher Jar: Arnel and I have one, we have little things that we have written on little strips of paper like, “bake Arnel’s favorite cake”, “foot massage for Lejla”, “Arnel’s famous breakfast for the entire weekend” and randomly we will pick one out and anxiously wait to who gets an extra treat!
