All Things Beauty Tried And True Products

Hello my loves! I am soooo excited about this blog post because I have been wanting to talk about beauty for so long and you all always ask about beauty products so I have enlisted the help of my two sisters. I promise their advice is amazing, they are total beauty junkies and growing up they are the two people I would ask for beauty advice because if a new product came out they probably tried it and tested it out and would give the best review ever. I always told them they needed a youtube channel just so they could let everyone know what they really thought but here I am sharing all their advice and our tried and true products. You guys have to remember that Sephora is having their huge sale starting this Friday.

Skincare:

Okay first things first lets talk skincare, if you have followed me for a while then you know I have been using Belif Moisturizer now for well over a year, during the summer time I use the aqua bomb because it’s lighter and then during the winter months I use the regular true cream. Before that I was using; Philosophy Miracle Worker for about 3-4 years and hands down I am still obsessed with it. I just ended up leaving my brand new jar at my parent’s house and told my mom she should just use it and I will get a new one. For an great under eye cream my sister recommended the Clinique All About Eyes, she has been using it for over a year and she says it’s the absolute best and works on all skin types.

Before I got pregnant I had a go to face mask/scrub and I promise you it is amazing. It is the Philosophy Microdelivery Resurfacing Peel. It also smells amazing!! So first you apply the Vitamin C Scrub and then you apply the Lactic/Salicylic Acid and you rub it in and leave it on for a few minutes. When you wash it off your face will feel like a baby’s bottom, super soft and so clean. I can’t use the Salicylic Acid while pregnant but after pregnancy I will be back on my regular routine. It’s great for sensitive skin or acne prone skin because the acid will clear it up. If you have super sensitive skin I recommend just using it once a week or maybe even every two weeks. I also like the Glam Glow Charcoal Mask as a spot treatment and as well as the Origins Charcoal Mask, they both are equally as good.

For Facial Cleansers, my sisters recommend First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, it’s gentle on the skin and works on all skin types. Currently I am using Cetaphil and Vanicream, it’s what my dermatologist recommended but they are all super safe for sensitive skin and are gentle on the skin while removing any impurities.

Foundation, Concealer and Setting Powder:

If guys have read my blog and watched my stories then you know my go to make up is Bare Minerals, I have been using the original foundation for over a decade now in the shade Fairly Medium 05. I have tried others in between but always seem to go back to my Bare Minerals Foundation. As an under eye concealer I use the Bare Minerals Concealer in the shade Well Rested. To apply the foundation I use the Laura Mercier Bronzer Brush, it’s a larger brush and it just spreads the foundation nicely. For the concealer I use the Sephora Complexion Brush that I got in this set here.

The other foundations my sisters recommended for a lighter yet nice coverage: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, Too Faced Born This Way, For full coverage try the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. They also recommended Make Up Forever Concealer and Urban Decay Naked Skin.

For setting powder, Laura Mercier Setting Powder is an absolute must, it will last you all day and no matter what type of foundation you use or concealer you need to set it with this powder. It will set your make up so nicely!

Blush, Bronzer & Highlighter:

If you are a huge fan of blush like I am then you will love the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks, I love them in all the shades that they come in, I have it in the Rose, Bronze and Nectar. I love this special edition that just came out that I had to have. I also love the regular Bobbi Brown blush in the shade Pretty Pink, they are pigmented so a little goes a long way. I also love the Bare Minerals Blush in the shade Aphrodisiac as well as the Nars Orgasm. Another one I am absolutely obsessed with are the Tarte 12-hour Blushes. For my go to highlighter, If I am not using the shimmer brick then I am using the Becca Pressed Highlighter in the shades Opal and Moonstone. For Bronzer I use the Bare Minerals All Over Face in Warmth, my sisters highly recommend the Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

I am a lover of Mascara, I love accentuating my eyelashes, it’s definitely my must have beauty item. My go to mascara combo is this Lancome Eyelash Primer and this Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara. If you have smaller lashes then I definitely recommend the Clinique High Impact Mascara as well as the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For some great eyeshadow palettes, the Stila Eye Shadow Palette, Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow PaletteAnastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette. The two best eyeliners that we have used are the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner and the Stila Eyeliner.
