Evening Strolls In A White & Blue Combo

Last night Arnel and I went out for a stroll down by Virginia Highlands, trying to enjoy the outdoors before storms roll in this weekend. Love all the lovely plants everyone has been planting, it just so warm and inviting, makes me want to cover our balcony in plants and flowers. I stopped and took a picture because I couldn’t help but admire this adorable cottage like house with the peach colored front door and they even had a palm tree, made me forget I was in the city for a second.

Some of the best moments are the evening strolls combined with deep conversations with Arnel, talking about our hopes, dreams and goals and all the things we have accomplished and still want to accomplish. We are constantly on the go and forget to stop and enjoy the little moments; the blooming flowers (enjoy them while you can, they will be gone before you know it), the sunsets in the distance, the fun laughs and giggles in the kitchen you spend with your loved ones, or if you are like me the few spills that occur in the kitchen and those are truly the best moments!

I am currently drinking a big cup of coffee and starting off my Wednesday morning with a smile; it’s beautiful outside, birds are chirping and I am finalizing today’s agenda and to do list. I made sure to eat a big breakfast since I will be a busy bee today!

Recently I was organizing my closet and kept thinking all the white and blue that I kept seeing from dresses and pants to shorts and tops. It’s such a clean color palette especially for the summer. And you know what’s just right around the corner, 4th of July which is why I added the little pop of red to my look. My bag is a few years old but it has a detachable strap so I am a huge fan of how versatile it is.

This Linen Top is seriously a dream. I have been collecting all the linen tops and tanks because it’s the definition of summer. I can’t get over how dreamy this blue is, the perfect shade! (also love this Red Top for 4th of July. I am wearing a 00 because it does run a little big so definitely size down. These Chino Shorts (currently on sale) are a girls best friend, these shorts have been around for years, definitely a classic and come in a wide range of colors, from greens and pinks to yellows and blues. I am wearing a size 2 in the shorts and they fit true to size, depending on the fit I always go between a 0 or 2, sometimes I prefer a loose fit and at times a more tighter look but when it comes to shorts I definitely want to feel comfortable and prefer a size 2 over a 0. These JR Sandals are my new favorite (last seen here) love the double strap and the neutral shade, it also comes this Rose/Cognac combo currently on sale.

These Sunglasses have been a must lately, after my visit to the eye doctor who actually told me I had sun spots in my eyes (they are near my tear duct) I freaked out for a moment actually a few, I just so got so worried, but he said it has probably been there for years now, from years out in the sun as a kid and not wearing sunglasses. So now I can’t go anywhere without them. I purchased these a few months ago and have made an effort to only get polarized sunglasses because of how much clearer I can see with them, it truly makes such a difference, especially while driving and being outdoors.
