My Fall Beauty Favorites & Giveaway

Fall is the time of year that I start to switch up my beauty products, from blush shades to hair styles and everything in between. Ultimately the weather changes and the hot humidity is starting to fade out which means my skin might get a little dryer and my rosy cheeks might not be so rosy anymore. And you know what else happens during the fall, it’s the season of giving, so make sure you check out the entire post and enter the Giveaway.

With all the warm fall tones and the bright reds and deep autumnal hues I just couldn’t help but do a beauty post and share some of my favorite trends with you all.

Fall Nails

Some of my favorite shades are the deep purples, rich burgundies, bright reds and of course the beautiful earth tones. My current favorite is You Don’t Know Jacques by OPI, it’s the perfect mix of purple and gray, fun yet very elegant.

Blush Tones

I love blush, can’t quite explain why but blush just adds so much life to your cheeks, it adds definition and highlights the cheekbones. There are so many shades I love and during the summer I tend to lean towards the pinks but with fall here I have steered into more lighter tones such as this Tom Ford Blush in shade Flush and recently went back to Nars in shade Orgasm; it’s the perfect shade for all skin tones, it adds just enough color and sparkle without being overwhelming.

Lip Color

To be honest I haven’t worn anything on my lips since I was a kid when my mom used to get us the little chapsticks and lip glosses “Lip Smackers.” I am allergic to most lip products, I am at that age where experimenting is not something I want to get myself into so I love to admire from afar. Don’t get me wrong I wish I could now I just get to help my sisters and friends pick out gorgeous lip shades. One of my all time favorite red lip shades is Ruby Woo by Mac, it’s perfect for the holidays and it’s just a fun pop of color for a night out. I also love all the nudes and blush tones and how about this Plum Brandy by Bobbi Brown, it’s definitely a show stopper. If you prefer to stick to lighter shades, I adore this Bobbi Brown in Bare, which is a soft pink beige.

Face & Eyes

I don’t wear much eyeshadow but during the fall I tend to look a little sleepy so I like to brighten up my eyes and add dimension in the crease of my eye lids. My favorite go to palette is the Urban Decay Naked Palette, favorite neutral shades are Sin and Naked and for a little color on the outer corner of my eyelids, I add the shade Toasted. This years Fall trend is all about a fresh face and a great lip and long natural lashes. My go to Mascara is L’oreal Telescopic, have used it over a decade and always seem to go back to it, one I recently discovered and really like is the Maybelline Lash Sensational, love using it for a night out when I want to achieve thicker fuller lashes.

Fall Hair

It’s all about texture, tousled curls and sleek straight hair. Add some hair spray like my new Fall Favorite Livingproof Control Hair Spray which doesn’t leave your hair sticky or hard, it’s a must have for everyone. For a little bit of texture at the end of your curls add some Livingproof Amp and it will leave your hair looking like you just stepped out a salon; great for volume too. With changes in the air, changing your shampoo is also great every once in a while, recently I have switched over to Pureology Sheer Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner and it’s been life changing. My hair stays manageable, shiny and doesn’t get greasy. If you have straight hair, you are in luck, sleek shiny hair is so in, straighten it out and add a texturizing cream at the tips of your hair and you are good to go.
