A Twist On Trench Coats

Happy Weekend my friends! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day or I hope you just got to celebrate yourself the last few days and give yourself some extra love maybe even an extra treat like a mani and pedi or some fresh flowers. Whatever it is that you did, I hope you made it extra special.

We kept it very simple and casual, Arnel surprised me with my favorite flowers and chocolate and wrote me the sweetest letter. I pretty much cry every time I read it, it’s just so meaningful. The chocolates I sadly devoured but I don’t regret it, living it up the last 2 weeks of pregnancy.

We kept ourselves pretty busy this past weekend especially because it’s suppose to be a very rainy and dreary for the next several weeks, so our nightly walks will be limited as will being outdoors. Saturday we had lunch at Rumi’s Kitchen, it’s one of our favorite restaurants, if you are from the Atlanta area, then I highly recommend checking them out. They have a Sandy Springs and an Alpharetta location. Both are equally as beautiful, the Alpharetta location might be great for Spring and Summer evenings out on the patio enjoying dinner and drinks.

We also spent time looking for a new rug for baby girl, so much needs to be done to baby’s nursery, we have been so slow with it since I had a change of heart regarding the theme and colors. I had to just take a step back and slowly re-order the things that I wanted, poor Arnel has to deal with my change of heart. I figured she won’t actually be in the nursery right away since she will be in her bassinet next to us for the first few months of her life.

We were also on a hunt for my mother in laws gift because we can’t figure out what to get her. It’s so hard to shop for a woman who literally has everything and anything so if you all have any ideas please share because I am feeling a little lost at this point.

Trench Coats

All right, I shared this look on insta stories and got so many dms about this look that I had to share it on the blog. This Lafayette Leaf Trench I purchased a few weeks ago and I love it for the Spring, the fabric is super soft and the length is perfect for dressing up or down. I am wearing a size Small and it’s still available in multiple sizes, I would definitely say it’s true to size and I obsessed with the fact that it’s on sale. I also found some cute ones that I linked, so many different colors and patterns.

Dresses

I love playing with patterns and recently coats have been my total jam, some recent posts here, here and here. I have also loved dresses during pregnancy and this olive green dress was actually one of my first purchases when I found out I was pregnant, it’s been sold out for the last few months but I found a few similar budget friendly ones, here, here, here & here. They are so cute to show off the bump but also super cute to wear when you don’t have a bump.

Wedges

Have also been super excited to bring out my Spring wardrobe and have loved wearing wedges the last two weeks, anytime the weather spikes to the upper 60s and 70s I get so excited and automatically reach for my Castaner Wedges. They transform a look from casual to dressy almost instantly. I have Castaner Wedges in multiple colors and styles and love them all, they truly are the best wedges you will ever own. I normally wear between a size 6 and 6.5 and always order a 36.

Spring Bags

Last but not least, you all know that I have loved little bucket bags and intricate bags and this Cult Gaia bag looks so pretty in my collection, it will definitely be one that I incorporate into so many Spring and Summer looks.
