The concept of wrapping gifts and presentation can get a bit overwhelming and exhausting. After years of trial and error and lots of rolls of paper, I have learned that presentation is just as important as the gift itself. It’s all about the personal touches and hand written notes that we add that make the gift complete. I am sharing some great ideas to help you during the holiday season of gift wrapping and packaging.
Keep it simple, pick a color scheme and stick with it! We get side tracked with all the gorgeous packaging and end up purchasing every roll of paper and every pretty bow we see (guilty of it). This year I am leaning towards earth tones and simple shades such as black and white and pops of red. I love this Jillson and Roberts Wrapping Paper comes in 4 rolls with such a cute color scheme. I also love plain matte wrapping paper such as this plain black, this beige kraft paper & this precious white glitter reindeer.
Use gift boxes; pretty gift boxes, I love the White & Gold trim boxes as well as the plain white ones. These don’t have to be wrapped, they are pretty just by themselves. I also found other pretty boxes; these gorgeous Gold Polka Dots, Black & White Diagonal Stripes, and this gorgeous Red Gift Box.
Use Twine for a more organic feel, not only is it easier to tie a bow but it’s simple and unique, I also love this olive leaf ribbon (might be my absolute favorite) and I also love this burlap ribbon on black wrapping paper.
Add dimensions and various effects by adding 3-d gift tags and or real or faux leaves (silver dollar or eucalyptus smell great). Absolutely adore this reindeer gift tag and this french bulldog gift tag (sooo cute)!
And finally add a hand written note, it’s the perfect personal touch!
